I am thrilled to have the opportunity to
teach your child this year! I encourage you to be involved with your child’s
education and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or
concerns.
This week we will be getting to know each
other, establishing classroom routines, and easing back into the school
routine. I will be assessing your child’s academic levels over the next few
weeks. Next week we will begin nightly homework and our “Student of the Week”
activities. Each week a different student will complete a Read About Me poster
to be displayed during the week.I have
completed an example of the poster if you would like to stop in and see it. All
posters will be returned at the end of the year.
I look forward to working with you and your
child throughout the year. I would love to have you volunteer in the classroom,
as your schedule permits.I will have
volunteer packets and a list of ways you can help at Back to School Night which
is scheduled for Thursday, September 2. At that time I will go over our
schedule, curriculum, and answer your questions. I hope you will be able to
attend!
Thank you, in advance, for your support and
involvement.My classroom phone number
is 273-3664 x 218.I return phone calls
at the end of the school day, when there is adequate time.I know this will be a fantastic year!
