The PTC has a very full October planned this year. We have 4 very exciting events coming up! On the 6th we are having our 3rd annual Walk-a-Thon. Last year we raised $11,500 and this year we hope to raise even more! The Walk-a-Thon packets were already distributed to students. If anyone needs another packet or additional pledge sheets they are available in the office. The Walk-a-Thon raises money for many of our programs. We have lots of great prizes again this year and the Grand Prize is a BMX Bike donated to us at cost from Tour of Nevada City Bicycle Shop. If you are in Tour of NC Bicycle Shop remember to give them a big thanks for their support! If anyone would like to volunteer to help out or donate some baked goods for our walkers, please call Jhana at 432-7632. |

Fall is in the air and with that comes our annual PTC Harvest Festival and our end of the month “Trick or Treating”. On the 28th of the month we will have a pumpkin patch, hot apple cider, and other fall goodies from 2:45pm – 4pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. On the 31st, we will hold our annual costume parade and “Trick of Treating” in the afternoon. This tradition was started over 20 years ago and is a lot of fun for the students. Please watch for your child’s parent conference meeting notice. Conferences will be held on the afternoons of October 15th-17th. Notices should be sent out the week of October 6th. Teachers try to coordinate the conference schedules to accommodate siblings, but this is not always possible |

Safeway Rewards Safeway is giving 10% back to schools on certain items purchased between Aug 6th. and September 9th. If your Safeway Club Card is signed up at escrip.com and is current (remember, you have to update it every year!), 10% your eligible purchases will automatically go to Clear Creek. SO EASY! In addition, from Sept. 13th - Oct. 6th, Clear Creek School PTC will be collecting Safeway receipts. All items on purchases not tied to the escrip program will still be eligible to receive the same 10% donation to the schools. So please look for the boxes located around the campus and place any and all Safeway receipts in the box...let's see how much money we can collect for our school! |
