The school year is winding down and the PTC has some very exciting events planned!  

May 6th is the PTC Open House BBQ!  Bring the family to enjoy a hot dog or hamburger dinner with the rest of the Clear Creek Family before the classroom presentations. Dinner includes chips, potato salad and a drink for $5...you can't beat that!  Don't forget to buy a treat from 8th graders to support their end of the year trip. The 2008-2009 yearbooks will also be on sale at the presale price of $14.00, in June the price will increase to $17.00, so plan on pre-ordering!  There will also be sign up sheets to help with  Cougarpawlooza at Open House.  This is our end of year event that is all about FUN; sign up to help out or create your own "carnival booth".  Find out more about it at Open House.

Please attend the next PTC mtg on  May 5th @ 3 pm and help vote for the 2009-2010 PTC Officers. 

In May the PTC will hold a luncheon for the teachers to express our appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication.  If you are interested in bringing a food item please contact Poppi West (274-0325).
 

Each summer our Clear Creek family has the opportunity to partner with the Develop-mentally Disabled of Nevada County and work three shifts in their Tempura Booth (deep-fried battered zucchini, onions and mushrooms) during the Nevada County Fair (August 12th-16th).  Those who have participated will agree that this is the most fun, best kept secret of our PTC events! Parent and Site Council Member - Rocky Troth is our fearless Shift Supervisor who leads our team to victory each summer, earning $1000 for PTC!  We need to fill three shifts with ten volunteers each shift.  We need parent help and students can volunteer but they MUST be at least twelve years old and in sixth grade to work.  You will have a chance to sign-up for our shifts during the upcoming Open House,  If you are interested in coordinating the Tempura Booth this summer or have questions, please contact me, Kim Gilliland at 530-559-9023.
