As 2007 comes to a close, I wanted to look back on the past year and recognize our accomplishments. Since January of 2007, Clear Creek School has been one of the very few school districts in Nevada County with continued increasing enrollment. I attribute this to our dedicated staff and school board, our wonderful community, and our great kids. We have enriched our curriculum with a music program during the day, a new school wide writing program, and our Alpha Smart word processing mobile lab. Campus improvements have include the addition of our new shade structure in the parking lot, the new playground on the lower field, and the kids favorite – the wall ball. All of this would not be possible without the Parent Teacher Club, the School Site Council, the School Board, and the staff working in concert to do what is best for our students. That is something that is easy to take for granted, but doesn’t always happen in other schools. We are truly lucky. As we look to 2008, we plan on building on our successes while improving our instructional programs and facilities for the benefit of our students. I look forward to serving the school over the coming year to make it the best we can.
