By Deb Frank

Deborah Frank has been the Resource Teacher at Clear Creek School since the start of the 2001-2002 school year.  She currently shares the 7th/8th  class sponsorship with Mrs. Kauffman, and teaches social studies and PE.   Before coming to this school she taught Deaf children in Nevada County as an itinerant teacher, and worked at Yuba City High School as a teacher for students who were Deaf or had other communication disorders.  She has been teaching since 1979, and worked her way through college as a teaching assistant for several years before that.

Mrs. Frank has a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders, and a Bachelor’s degree from Fresno State University.  In addition to her Resource Teacher’s certificate, she has a life credential in Special Education grades k-12 and a Multiple Subject Credential for grades k-8.

Mrs. Frank had been married since 1971, has two grown children and one grandson.  Originally from Valparaiso, Indiana, she has lived in California all of her adult life, and currently lives in Rough and Ready.  She loves biking on her recumbent, sailing up in British Columbia, and  travelling anywhere.
She wants you to know that:   “This school is a place where students are viewed as individuals.  Every member on staff works to encourage students to strive for their best potential, and has a great time doing it.  It is the best place I have ever taught, and I feel privileged to be a part of the Clear Creek staff.
