Hello! My name is Emily Smith, and I am thrilled to be returning to Clear Creek School this year to teach sixth grade alongside Mrs. Corona. This will be my third year at Clear Creek, and I truly love the strong sense of community that makes this school so special.
I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Human Development and went on to earn my Master’s in Teaching from William Jessup University. I have always been passionate about education—whether I’m in the classroom as a student or a teacher—and my goal is to inspire that same love of learning in my students.
I grew up on the outskirts of Placerville and attended schools very similar to Clear Creek. It was always my dream to return to a setting like this, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be both living and teaching in the beautiful foothills.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing volleyball, traveling, and reading a good book.
I can’t wait to meet all of my new students and their families in just a few short weeks. It’s going to be a fantastic year!
