Mrs. Guild

My name is Andrea Guild and I have been teaching at Clear Creek since 2022. My family moved to the area in the summer of 2019 and Clear Creek School was one of the main reasons we chose our home just 2 miles away! While the school rating and parent reviews are what prompted us to send our youngest to attend school here, the small community and supportive staff are what drew me in as a teacher. I have taught many grades throughout the years since I received my credential in 2008, but my heart has always been with 7th grade. Having taught 7th grade for 7 years now, I can say that I truly love seeing the growth in these kids, both academically and socially. Through the curriculum, I not only teach them about argumentative writing, medieval societies and the scary pre-algebra, I also teach them how to question sources of information, work in groups and that they can do hard things. As I tell my students, it’s not always about the content you are learning, it’s about how you learn it. These are skills they will use to develop into successful humans! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy time at home with my goats and working in the garden. I also volunteer with our local 4-H club as the project leader for cake decorating and hold a position on the board with Bear River Little League. I received my bachelor’s degree and teaching credential from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA and obtained my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Sacramento State University.
